Manufacturing > BOM > New - Dedicated stations for subassembly production (e.g., Mixing Station 1 for Valdana Bread dough)
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create Work Order for Subassembly
- Go to:
Manufacturing > Work Order > New - Configure:
- Item: Select subassembly (e.g., “Pre-Mixed Oil”)
- Quantity: Needed for parent production (e.g., 1,000L for Luca Oil batch)
- Planned Start Date: Earlier than parent Work Order
- Warehouse:
- Source: Raw Material Warehouse (for components)
- Target: Subassembly Stock (for finished subassembly)
- Link to Parent (Optional):
- Add Parent Work Order field if creating manually
- Submit → Triggers Job Cards for operations
Step 2: Auto-Generate via Parent Work Order
For automatic nesting (recommended):- In Parent Work Order (e.g., “Luca Engine Oil 5W-30”):
- Enable Produce Subassemblies
- System auto-creates:
- Subassembly Work Order for “Pre-Mixed Oil”
- Dependency: Subassembly WO must complete before parent starts
- View nested WOs:
- Subassemblies Table: Status, Quantity, Completion Date
Step 3: Track Subassembly Production
- Job Cards:
- Update progress per operation (e.g., “Base Oil Mixing: 500L/1,000L”)
- Quality Checks:
- Record defects (e.g., “Viscosity out of spec - 10L rejected”)
- Complete Subassembly WO:
- Output moves to Subassembly Stock
- Parent Work Order auto-unlocks when ready
Step 4: Consume in Final Assembly
- Auto-Consumption:
- When parent Work Order starts, system pulls subassembly from Subassembly Stock
- Manual Transfer:
- Create Stock Entry if not auto-consumed:
- Purpose: Material Transfer

- To: Work-in-Progress Warehouse
